Elodie started her career in 2005 with Airbus Group, in charge of industrial cooperation projects for the UAE, Turkey and Romania. She joined Thales, leader in designing and building electrical systems for the aerospace, defence, transportation and security markets. For 10 years, she covered several positions, from handling industrial partnerships for the African region to head of partnerships and innovation for the Middle East region. Intrigued by digital transformation, she was interested to experience how industrial leaders can innovate and create additional value that is not only based on R&D and technical incumbency. She joined the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit, a joint initiative by the United Arab Emirates Government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) about the future of industry, as director for partnerships. She also launched for GMIS the Mohammed bin Rashid Initiative for Global Prosperity, a UAE initiative promoting a collaborative competition for entrepreneurs encouraging them to solve real-world problems, identified by several UN Agencies partners. She joined Gothams in 2019 to support the HUB 71 Abu Dhabi accelerator program for aerospace and defence. Michael Schrage is a fellow with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School's Center for Digital Business and senior adviser to MIT’s Security Studies Program. He previously held the position of Co-Director of the Media Lab E-Markets Initiative at MIT. Mr. Schrage advises organizations on the economics of innovation through rapid experimentation, simulation, and digital design. His research and advisory work explores the role of models, prototypes, and simulations as collaborative media for managing innovation risk. His ongoing work on strategic and "just-in-time" experimentation is at the core of several corporate transformation efforts. He has been an advisor/consultant to such organizations like Accenture, Google, Siemens, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, PwC, British Telecom, BP, Mars, and NASDAQ. Mr. Schrage has presented invited papers on innovation economics for the Chemical Sciences Board of the National Research Council. He performs non-classified work for the National Security Council, DARPA and the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment on command, control, and cyber-conflict management issues. Dr. Ounsi El Daif is the CEO of Eedama, a company based in the UAE that does education and training to sustainable development in the Middle East, mostly in Lebanon and the UAE. He is also the co-founder of the Lebanese NGO Jibal. He is originally a physicist who studied in France and Switzerland; he got his PhD in 2007 from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland). Until 2015, he was a researcher in the field of solar photovoltaic energy in world-class scientific labs (EPFL, Lyon Nanotechnology Institute in France, IMEC in Belgium, QEERI in Qatar). To this date, he is a university lecturer at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. He has authored and co-authored more than 30 publications in scientific peer-reviewed journals and 10 in broad audience media. He is a member of the global advisory panel of the Science and Innovation Park of the UAE University and is part of the development of the UAEU Expo pavilion ‘Pathfinder Program’. Read less
