Deans Roundtable 09

The MIT Enterprise Forum of the Pan Arab Region in partnership with the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) are organizing a roundtable discussion on "Entrepreneurship Development: Trends and Prospects in the Arab Region", targeting Deans of Business Schools in the Arab countries.

The aim of the Roundtable is to generate a discussion on the state of entrepreneurship in the region: challenges and opportunities, and to establish common grounds for potential future collaboration. Issues which will be raised include:

- The importance of a conducive legal and regulatory framework for entrepreneurship development: Public policies and incentives.
- Prevailing barriers and the need to stimulate investment in entrepreneurial activities.
- The promotion of a culture of entrepreneurship in the region.
- Prospects and areas of cooperation between the participants: Common agenda and joint activities in the Arab region.
